Job Purpose:
The Head of Products and Business Development is responsible for managing all lifecycle stages for a product. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Head of Products and Business Development’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goal, the candidate responsibility will be:
- Product Planning
- Define the product strategy and roadmap.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features and products.
- Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision.
- Develops and maintain key stakeholder relations with internal business partners and vendor representatives.
- Product Launch
- Work closely with business analysts, design team, marketing, operations, service, finance and risk and compliance to deliver product.
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Product Maintenance
- Identify areas for growth and create strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features.
- Ensure IT development is in line with product requirements and project timeline
- Ensure Operations and Service teams are aligned to support for the upcoming product
- Create FAQs content anticipating customer needs based on the product
- Engage with marketing team to ensure product launch campaigns are communication plans are in place
- Ensure relevant reports needed are in place for product
- Engage with marketing team to ensure adoption of the product
- Engage with customer acquisition team to ensure customers are engaged and incentivized to adopt the product
- Track adoption, usage, and revenues on the product
- Engage with marketing and customer acquisition team to ensure customers are encouraged and incentivized to use the product
- Drive towards benchmark scores and review with core team for issues if any
- Engage with real customers through digital interactions as well as face-to-face at relevant events and gather firsthand feedback regarding products.
- Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision that solve customer needs
- Manage feedback and suggestions for enhancing the solution and making the proposition more appealing and relevant
- Oversee primary/ secondary research/ dip-stick sample checks wherever relevant to support the feedback Person Specification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related
- 7-9 years of relevant experience.
- Good customer experience background.
