Environmental Manager | AFET | KSA

Overview of the role:

The core responsibility of Environmental Manager is to assist project team to implement the Construction Environment Management Plan (CEMP) & Waste Management Plan in project, ensuring compliance against legal and client requirements.

What you will do:

• Prepare and Monitor Construction Environment Management Plan (CEMP), Waste Management Plan for the project.

• Carryout Environmental and Social Impact Studies, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management Program, Pollution Inventory, Air Pollution Modelling, Feasibility Study,

Environmental Due diligence and Contaminated Site Assessment.

• Ensuring Environmental aspects and impacts are identified, assessed, and managed for all construction activities thereby securing Environmental Clearance from Federal Environmental Agency.

• Perform periodic inspections / audits to confirm compliance with ISO 14001 on the projects and preparing the Environmental Management Program to ensure effective mitigation of identified impacts.

• Conduct soil / ground water contamination assessment study and suggest suitable Environmental Management Program.

• Review and suggest recommendations for air quality, effluent quality, handling and management of toxic and hazardous waste, noise, radiation, thermal etc.

• Assess and monitor construction projects for environmental impact, prepare environmental performance report, coordinate with local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.

• Attend and organize regular meetings with the Construction team to discuss the environmental issues onsite, ensuring compliance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as local permits and regulation.

• Coordinate with government authorities for submissions and approvals for securing Environmental Clearance/ Permits.

• Develop environmental training programs. Extend knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in environmental discipline / skill to colleagues through strategic trainings.

• Ensure that all internal and external environmental incidents, issues, and emergencies are appropriately resolved with all relevant forms and records filled and maintained

What equips you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in environmental domain

ISO 14001 Lead Auditor

Be certified by internationally recognized environmental body

Minimum Experience:

07 to 10 years of experience in MEP & construction projects.
