Job Description
Summary
You will be responsible forthe efficient running ofthe department in line with Hyatt International's corporate strategies andbrand standards, whilst meetingemployee, guest and owner expectations. You will be accountable and responsible for the supervision and operation of all property food and beverage activities including a consultant-like approach to the culinary department. You will deliver an experience-led, high quality product with excellent service levels which will be profitable in line with stakeholder expectations. As the Food & Beverage Manager you will be responsible to function as an independent business unit owner who will report to the General Manager. You will market ideas to promote business and you will care for people so they can be their best to ultimately improve departmental revenue and GOP year on year while keeping a balance of quality and profitability. You will manage venues with a stand-alone mentality which supports but does not work against the arching hotel brand. You will ensure that the hotel's vital and legendary events business will continue to improve in both, quality and profitability year on year.
Qualifications
- The Food & Beverage Manager should be a self-starter, able to work independently, establish, develop and promote Hyatt purpose, values and standards with good operational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.
- Minimum 2 years work experience as Food & Beverage Manager, or Assistant Director of F&B in large property.
- Proven track record of improving qualitative and quantitative KPI's of operations under your control.
- Proven ability to handle a complex and multi-tasked team through improved staff engagement scores and well executed trainings.
- Proven execution of at least 2 major revenue and GOP enhancing actions which were sustainably implemented without compromising quality or margins.
- You must be self-motivated, able to communicate professionally on all levels on and off the job and display excellent people skills which reflect adaptability to a new culture.
- You must be able to work independently, be organized, develop people and have a profound knowledge of opening restaurant concepts which were set up successfully.
