Title: Construction Supervisor (Logistics)
Duration: Until June 2024
Location: Qatar
Qualification:
B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma in relevant engineering Discipline with extensive construction related experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years experience in relevant construction and installation activities in brownfield oil & gas projects.
- Experience in the Refinery construction & commissioning.
- Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems, processes, and standard.
- Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for logistics coordination for the construction works executed by contractors to ensure Department's assigned projects are constructed in accordance with the approved Scope of Work, engineering design, QHSE standards & specifications. Review and provide comments on the relevant method statements, from start of construction of projects till completion and handover to end users.
- Participate in constructability reviews as and when required.
- Follow up and coordination with the contractors for the materials/equipment deliveries with the port authorities.
- Arranging of the Permit to work/Safety Induction and necessary safety courses of the contractors.
- Review contractors construction plans and schedules including method statements and JSAs.
- Coordinate and control the mobilization of contractors to sites including site lay down areas.
- Facilitate issuance of necessary Gate passes, equipment passes, equipment/vehicle inspections when requested by Contractors
- Coordinate the movement and route survey for heavy equipment / vehicles inside and outside the industrial area, refinery plant, Port Authorities for the project purpose.
- Follow up the approval of the Lifting plans with contractors and company's lifting department.
- Follow up on the materials delivery with the contractors for the project scope.
- Review and maintain Logistics register
- Follow up of the vendors / OEM mobilizations plans for the commissioning activities.
- Support Qatari development activities by ensuring that Qatari Nationals receive the proper jib training and development.
