Roles & Responsibilities

We are searching for a reliable, deadline-driven construction supervisor to oversee construction crews at our company. The construction supervisor's responsibilities include recruiting, monitoring performance and making recommendations for improvement, as well as educating all staff on safety. You should ensure that projects stay within budget and that required materials and equipment are available.

To be successful as a construction supervisor, you should demonstrate a sound understanding of safety regulations and building codes and be able to transfer this knowledge to your team. Top-notch construction supervisors are leaders who can identify problems and find feasible solutions to them.

Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing. Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage. Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion.

Job Description:

1. Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.

2. Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage.

3. Ensuring that all activities related to concrete preparations, placement, and installation are conducted smoothly

4. Reads specification sheets for information, such as sizes of aggregates and proportions of cement and water required, to ensure that concrete is mixed according to specifications

5. Directs workers who spread, vibrate, screed, and float concrete to ensure that concrete is compacted to desired consistency and surface is finished to specified uniformity and smoothness.

6. Delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing overall guidance.

7. Indicates positions for pouring chutes and runways, cranes, to facilitate conveying concrete from mixer to forms.

8. Supervising and managing the workers, explain the drawings & installation methods in detail, distribute them among the different activities and ensure providing the required materials and equipment, provide daily target and monitor the achieved productivity. Monitor & supervise team to ensure compliance of work

9. Coordinate with project Engineer. Scheduling regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff. Working closely with architects, engineers and other professionals and report daily on the achieved progress of work and all the other issues.

10. Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project.

11. Examines concrete, after forms are stripped, and gives instruction to workers to repair defects, such as roughness and honeycombed appearance. Well knowledge of the work procedure in terms of sequencing with the previous and following up activities ensuring proper coordination.

12. Prescribes methods for curing concrete, such as covering surface of green concrete with burlap, plastic, earth, straw, or chemical compound, to prevent green concrete from drying out rapidly or freezing.

13. Able to do costing of materials. Calculation quantity of material requirement.

14. Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project.

15. Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.

16. Promoting the Teamwork principles and follow up the workers affairs.

17. To plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan.

18. Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members.

19. Review man-hours and duration forecasts to completion for construction and man-hours

20. Provide the training for all the workers to ensure the best productivity.

21. Testing the new workers candidates and evaluate their skills.

22. Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement.

23. To ensure that the site activities are executed in accordance with specifications budget and time schedules.

24. To Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the Company. Follow up the concreting work and ensure it complies with the design and with the best quality standards and safety requirements.

25. Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines. Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes

26. Monitoring construction processes and providing training and team building sessions are required.

27. Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times. Staying up to date with safety codes and advancements in construction.

28. Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.

29. Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff.

30. Processing paperwork and traveling to multiple sites as required. Develop and review documentation necessary to facilitate work carried out

31. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that works are carried out according to client specifications

32. Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed

33. Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

المهارات

• Minimum 5 years of experience.

• Must have knowledge in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office

• Able to work independently and cope in a fast-paced environment

• High school diploma or similar.

• Diploma in construction, business, management, or engineering preferable.

• Experience in the construction industry required.

• Experience in a leadership role recommended.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to focus and keep calm under pressure.

• Ability to keep track of multiple projects.

• Previous experience as a Supervisor/Leading Hand of concreting crews

• Proven experience working as a Concrete Supervisor

• Experience in high-rise buildings, hotels, shopping malls or residential

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, CAD will be an advantage
