The ideal candidate will be responsible for P&L of the freight forwarding division of the company. He should be a self- driven, highly motivated high achiever with deep knowledge of the freight forwarding business in the UAE including operational procedures involved in the process. He should be a team player with proven experience in managing and motivating a team of sales/operations executives/coordinators.
His responsibilities will include:
- Securing new clients for the company and managing/retaining existing clients to enhance sales/profitability for the company.
- Maintaining relationships with existing clients/agents/partners/vendors/organizations and forging new relationships to enhance the business of the company.
- Getting best rates from shipping lines/transporters/overseas agents
- Leading, guiding and supporting sales/operations team
- Setting individual targets for the team members and to support them to ensure that they achieve the same
- Constant monitoring of ops team to ensure timely execution of jobs
- Monitoring sales team on daily basis
- Regular follow up with clients to recover the outstanding payments
- Preparation of reports for the management
- Carrying out market analysis of regular basis
- Making marketing/sales plans and business projections to achieve the targets set by the management
- Administrative control of the freight forwarding division
