- At WFP, we are looking for talented Site Maintenance Assistant (Cooks Chief) in our office in El Geneina Area Office in Sudan, to be hired on Special Service Agreement at the Level 2.

JOB PURPOSE
World Food Programme in West & Central Darfur Area Office (WCD) wishes to recruit a qualified chef for the new expanded Kitchen at the Guesthouse.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
- Controlling and directing the food preparation process.
- Approving and polishing dishes before they are served to residents.
- Managing and working closely with the cooks and scheduling kitchen staff.
- Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality.
- Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering.
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
- Being responsible for health and safety at all times in the kitchen.
- Being responsible for food hygiene practices and general cleanliness at all times.
ADDITIONAL KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for all WFP assets assigned to the kitchen.
- In consultation with GH Manager, Monitor kitchen equipment functionality, quality and use.
- Regular training of the kitchen staff on best practices.
- Prepare monthly reports and share with the residents for discussion and improvement on service delivery.
- Perform any other related duties.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Completion of basic school education. A secondary or vocational training certificate is required.
- Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible related work experience in hotels or kitchen administration or another related field is required.
- Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Arabic.
