They are currently looking for a Senior Engineer – Power Systems Analysis to be based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Contribute ideas to strategic objectives and visions that underpin the design of the grid of the future, which will be operated from 100 Res, predominantly solar and wind.
Interpret simulation results and capacity derive conclusions and write technical reports.
Work with team of experienced engineers to simulate, validate, and implement complex power systems with high penetration of power electronics (PV inverters, wind generators, HVDC and FACTS devices, BESS), control systems, and protection schemes.
Help the team to develop the necessary documentations in light of national and international standards, guidelines, codes, and best engineering practices.
Develop synergy with local and international organizations involved in the development and update of the design standards, guidelines, and simulation tools.
Participate in profession bodies and working groups

Qualification & Requirements:

MSc in electrical engineering with a minimum of 6 years of work experience or PhD in electrical engineering with a minimum of 4 years of work experience.
Have good fundamental understandings of power systems, power electronics, control, protection, etc.
Conduct load flow, short circuit, harmonic studies power system dynamics (small signal and transient stability analysis) static and dynamic voltage stability studies harmonic stability, resonances and interaction studies using RMS or EMT tools (PSSE, PSCAD, EMPT-RV, or DIgSILENT).
Conduct basic calculations to select and optimize network components.
Perform wide range of design verification studies for transmission systems according the relevant standards and guidelines.
Ability to write clear and well-structured technical reports and to communicate complex technical subjects to stakeholders.
Proficient in multiple offline and real-time simulation tools and platforms such as PSSE, DIgSILENT, MATLAB/SIMULINK, PSCAD and RSCAD (RTDS), and RT-LAB are advantageous, including code generation and creation of dynamic link libraries (DLLs).
Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Fortran and ability are also advantageous.
