Ready to put your design skills to work on Parsons Design Office in Dubai Would you enjoy working closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design Parsons is now hiring a BIM Coordinator for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects. Parsons extensive experience in this field combined with your design knowledge and technical skills will propel your career forward.
We need our BIM Coordinator at this level to apply standard design principles and theories to complete assignments. Support Design and BIM Managers in project day-to day activities and coordinate with key disciplines involved in design and BIM/CAD draftsmen.
Responsibilities: Support the BIM Manager and Project Delivery Team(s) in day to day BIM implementation activities. Provide progress and performance updates to BIM Manager on fortnightly and monthly basis. Record, store and maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities. Support the setup, development, configuration, establishment of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for Project use. Support the deployment (hardware and software) and provide hands-on BIM software training for Project team members. Ensure Project Information Model (PIM) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol. Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the organization's and Project's quality procedures and the Project's BIM production methods and standards. Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards and requirements. Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain tracker (both hard and soft copies) to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project's design and BIM requirements. Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models. Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs. Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings. Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager design-changes and model challenges. Support BIM Manager with planning and construction activities with proposed 4D sequencing model(s) review and progress reporting. Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis. Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities. Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks and report deviations of installation with approved coordinated models. Monitor, perform quality checks and report on the quality of as-built models. Monitor and support the data collection process and validate Asset Information Model (AIM) with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) requirements e.g. Construction Operation Building Information Exchange (COBie) and/or Client Specific requirements. Monitor and validate the as-built model tagging with all related Project documents e.g. the H&S file(s) and O&M Manual(s) etc.
Qualifications:
oMinimum Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
oMinimum 7 years experience in Design or Construction
oMinimum 5 years experience in BIM Implementation on Major Projects or Program
oExperience either from a Consultant or Contractor Environment on Roads and Infrastructure Projects
Additional Requirements

• Possess excellent English written skills
• Possess excellent oral communication skills with an ability to form effective relationships with Project Delivery Team, Client (Appointing Party), and Contractor (Lead Appointed Party) under time pressure.
• Possess the ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.
