Stantec is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for its water infrastructure project in UAE.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery:
Experience in all facets of quantity surveying including:
. Cost Planning
. Quantity Take-Off
. Preparation of Bills of Quantities in CESMM format
. Estimating
. Tender and Contract Document Production
. Report Writing
. Claim Evaluation/Negotiation
. General Post Contract Administration
. Valuation of Variations
. Agreement of new rates
. Taking Over Certificates and Defects Liability
Assist the Project Manager on commercial matters
Assist in the preparation, submission, and agreement of interim payment applications to maximize the company's cashflow
Assist in the Preparation of the weekly & Monthly Progress Dashboards.
Assist in the Preparation of the Progress meeting Presentations.
Coordinate to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
General commercial management of sub-contractors
Accurate and efficient measurement and identification of variations
Production and agreement of final accounts and any additional cost claims
Placement of subcontract order and agreement of subcontract final accounts
Ensure that income from interim applications Is received on time
Coordinate to ensure financial report is issued accurately in a timely manner
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work in conjunctions with engineers to solve project design conflicts, and perform basic design calculations
Conduct field inspections under the supervision of the Project Manager
Liaise with all teams working remotely to facilitate completion of tasks
Client Service Management:
Liaise with internal and external clients
Build and maintain lasting positive relationships
Follow Safe Work Practices:
Complete all work in line with Stantec's core values and in accordance with Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures
Design for safety
Other duties as requested from time to time by the Project Manager

Qualifications:
Qualifications :
.tBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution
.tMinimum 4+ years of similar work experience
.tExperience in working on Water Infrastructure, TSE, Networks, Water Pipelines, Flood Prevention Schemes
Fluency in English and high degree of numeracy and literacy.
.tExcellent in using MS office package (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
.tUnderstanding FIDIC and other standard Form Contracts,
.tUnderstand rights and obligations and Risk allocation in the contract
.tManage contractors variations and contractual claims
.tReply to delay notices and contractual letters
.tUnderstand of Bond and insurance requirements
.tFamiliar with / good understanding of programming and planning
