The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for faculty positions starting from Fall 2020. The CEE department at KFUPM offers a high quality teaching and research environment. Its undergraduate program is fully accredited by the ABET (U.S.A.) and our graduate program is also very active with currently more than 60 M.S. and Ph.D. students enrolled in the Structural, Geotechnical, Transportation, and Water Resources & Environmental Engineering areas. Furthermore, our labs are fully equipped with modern equipment and software in all disciplines of civil engineering and are backed by full time technical staff members who support both teaching and research activities. The CEE Department is also expanding its Structural Engineering Lab facility with state-of-the-art equipment including Earthquake Engineering research facilities. Furthermore, there are several funding agencies at KFUPM such as Deanship of Research (KFUPM), KACST, ARAMCO, NSTIP, SABIC, etc., which upon project acceptance, offer appropriate research grants. The university also supports attendance at 2-3 international conferences for faculty's professional growth, stimulation of research activities and exchange of ideas. The faculty member responsibilities will include teaching at both undergraduate & graduate levels, developing a strong and well-funded research program, and assisting the department in other professional activities. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at KFUPM is actively looking to hire faculty in the following areas of Civil Engineering at all professional ranks:
1. Transportation Planning
2. Traffic Operation and Safety
3. Pavement Design and Materials
4. Advanced Modeling in Structural Materials
5. Advanced Structural Modeling
6. Geotechnical Engineering
7. Water Resources
Job Responsibility
Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate course, advising and mentoring of students, supervision of MS and PhD thesis / dissertation, assisting the department in other professional activities and develop funded research program appropriate to his field of specialization. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and student interaction.

Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. from reputable institution, strong record of published research, experience in supervising research of graduate students, relevant teaching experience at the university level and have teaching and/or industrial experience in the respective areas.
