Duties

The Senior Maintenance Manager supervises all maintenance/technical staff and manages an aggressive complex preventative maintenance program using Key Performance Indicators such as oil analysis, equipment vibration monitoring and analysis, temperature monitoring and analysis, and other analytical tools to extend the life of critical and non-critical electrical equipment and systems, and to assist in scheduling power outages for preventive maintenance, major overhauls, or replacement.

The Senior Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance and repair work throughout the Embassy Buildings on critical and non-critical electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing and carpentry components within the functional/office buildings, on-compound ancillary support and to residential buildings, above and below ground infrastructures, recreational facilities, and other commercial owned/leased properties, keeping all critical and non-critical equipment operational, work areas clean and free of trash, debris and clutter accumulation fully functional, safe and secure.

The Senior Maintenance Manager is the senior supervision of the Locally Employed (LE) electrical technicians and other technicians by overseeing their daily work, will analyze written and verbal work order requests for maintenance services, and ascertain all of the necessary information to determine whether the work is of a routine, immediate, or emergency nature and prioritize each day’s tasks.

The Facilities Management Office is a 24/7 operation, and all personnel are required to be available after hours and weekends, as needed in routine scheduled maintenance activities and emergency situations. All personnel are required to be able to temporarily change their schedule for maintenance activities in order to not disrupt normal building operations.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience as a skilled technician in operation and maintenance of building engineering services in large modern commercial buildings, at a manufacturing plant, major resort, hospital, office complex or a large university/school system managing a preventative maintenance program that incorporates and utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests and their related expenses is required.

Must have experience in developing scopes of work, construction documents (plans and specifications) and cost estimates for new construction projects, building repairs, equipment overhauls, and equipment replacement schedules.

A minimum of one (1) year working in supervisory duties leading a team of 30 subordinates is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of automated building engineering systems including electrical, heating and cooling, plumbing, and fire. Knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests and their related expenses are required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have good supervisory skills, good computer skills, able to use and navigate through the Microsoft Office Software suite package using MS Word, Office, Excel, Database entry, AutoCAD, and MS project. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and civil drawings, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, various equipment schedules, and other construction documents. A level 3 Jordanian driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Education Requirements:

The completion of a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical/Electrical/General/Civil Engineering from an accredited university program is required.
