Job summary
In this Manama, Bahrain based role, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of the Bahrain immigration services across all case types. The team execute a high-volume of cases, managing immigration requirements for all sponsored employees and their dependents. This is a case working support role and acts as a coordinator within the case working team coordinating documentation, attestations, providing overall support across all daily case operations along with visiting the government authorities as applicable.
Key job responsibilities
The Immigration Associate, reports to Bahrain Immigration Strategy & Operations Manager to support the needs of Bahrain immigration. The team manage and coordinate the end to end applications with employees, candidates, stakeholders, government authorities, Ministry of Labor & Social Development etc. Key responsibilities include:
. Filing and executing immigration cases, coordinating with immigration specialist.
. Typing and executing a high caseload of applications. A typical caseload would be mixed application types from new, renewal, cancelation and amendment of work permit and residency visas each filing includes sub-applications related to work permit, entry permit, medical test, CR, Bahrain ID etc. for each applicant.
. Plan and keep track of all tasks required as part of an immigration process (case).
. Participate on a weekly casework review meeting to examine the progress of all cases against standard turn-around-times and key metrics.
. Maintaining up to date case trackers and master employees database.
. Coordinate the collection of documents and draft application materials including forms and letters for review and signature by the required stakeholders.
. Support Immigration Specialist in all queries and complaints.
. Coordinate with colleagues for submission of applications, collection of documents post approval and liaison with government officials.
. Visit the government authorities as applicable.
. Support with attestation requirements and processes.
. Maintain excellent understanding of Bahrain immigration regulations and policies and communicate timely updates to colleagues, applicants and business stakeholders.
About the team
The Immigration EMEA & APAC Strategy & Operations team within People Experience & Technology, manage overall immigration program for these regions in terms of Strategy and Operations, primarily working backwards from customer experience. The Team's focus is around immigration case filings, project delivery to improve quality, speed, experience, cost and compliance of immigration services at Amazon.
Basic Qualifications :
. Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
. 3+ years of experience in immigration programs with broad knowledge and experience in working with right to work, work authorization and human resource processes and employee lifecycle.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards.
. Excellent knowledge of Bahrain employment laws
Preferred Qualifications :
. Master's Degree in related field.
. Proven ability to identify process defects, make recommendations for process improvements, and implement process improvements.
. Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
. Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills high quality document and report preparation
