liwwa is looking to hire a SME – Relationship Officer to join the Sales team to expand liwwa’s portfolio of borrowers as we expand!

Main Responsibilities:

  • Focusing on lending to the repeat borrowers.

  • Working with the Team Leader to identify existing clients that require follow up.

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts exceeding USD 3 Million (direct facilities).

  • Prospecting and building a sales pipeline by engaging with marketing leads via phone.

  • Visiting and presenting liwwa’s financial products to prospective clients.

  • Cross-selling liwwa’s range of products and services.

  • Maintaining the relationship with clients through and closely following up.

  • Responsible for marketing and customer acquisition activities through various methods to achieve set targets.

  • Anticipating and resolving all client related needs.

  • Managing client relationships from lead to live and onwards in conjunction with Account Management.

  • Building strong relationships internally to enable efficient interaction between liwwa and the clients.

  • Achieving financial quarterly targets based on contracts signed.

  • Researching, creating and following up on a target list of existing clients and new businesses.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree in a related field (Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing).

  • Minimum 1-4 years of sales experience (Priority given to experience in SMEs).

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills.

  • Outstanding negotiation skills.

  • Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic fluently.

  • Proficiency in MS Office products.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset.

  • Ability under pressure and deal with ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in banking facilities and trade finance is preferred.

  • Banking courses (Institute of Banking Studies, Internal Banking Courses, SME Training Courses (Opic courses/ Frankfurt school courses) can be an asset.

  • Experience within the financial sector.
