Our client is seeking an experienced Business Setup Advisor/Company Formations Specialist who specializes in company formations in the UAE. You need to have at least three years’ experience setting up new companies, keeping them up to date with licensing renewals, through to winding down a company. Our client has a portfolio of approximately 40 companies and in this role, you would be responsible for creating and managing all the processes for the current companies that have been established and for setting up the new companies. You need to understand the different licenses that are available in the UAE to ensure that the company it set up for any future growth plans. You must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi. This role would suit someone who works for a Corporate Services Provider or a law firm who has a department that offers this service to their clients.

Description:

  • Manage and coordinate the overall process of company formation and license renewals for our client’s portfolio of companies
  • Give the best-informed advice to the portfolio companies on what their best options are for setting up their company in the UAE
  • Prepare and manage account opening documentation and forms, registers, and other relevant Company files, and reporting to management
  • Liaise daily with the relevant Authorities including but not limited to Government, Ministerial Departments, Agencies, Law Firms, Courts, Public Notaries, Consulates, Embassies, Customs Authorities, Typing Centers, Chambers, Municipalities, Translators, and other 3rd parties
  • Correspond with new companies to provide correct and up-to date information about possible options for setting up their companies in the UAE with respect to their areas of business interest, planned investment and staff quota
  • Ensure that the most suitable and cost-effective options are offered to the portfolio companies, in line with their requirements and where a technical competency is demonstrated to the companies in comparing different jurisdictions and company structures
  • Manage the key relationships with the portfolio companies and develop them further
  • Follow-up and coordinate post setup services such as corporate bank account opening, immigration, and visa related services, office administration services, document clearing and attestation services etc.
  • Follow and execute KYC and other relevant compliance procedures of 3rd parties, banks, and jurisdictional authorities
  • Keep up to date of the latest UAE compliance and commercial practices such as KYC
  • Create and administer multiple accounts at the Authority and/or Governmental organizations’ online portals and electronic systems and applications
  • Ensure that all information and documentation is updated and maintained
  • Develop a competency and understanding of the rules, regulations, and practices applicable in the UAE related to the tasks and responsibilities undertaken
  • Maintain an up-to date and complete hard copy and soft copy of all documents related to tasks daily and support operational and archival purposes
  • To maintain a very high level of confidentiality at all times with respect to the portfolio companies’ documentation, files, data, officers, staff, procedures, policies

Criteria:

  • Effective communication, excellent written and spoken English
  • Must have experience dealing with KYC
  • Strong MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Someone used to working unsupervised with strong follow up skills
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service, client relations skills, organization, and time management skills
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in dealing with government entities in the UAE minimum 3 years
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
  • Strong UAE business set up/company formations expertise is essential
  • Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial communities
  • Eagerness to work with a small, collaborative team and gain experience
  • Experience of dealing with government entities is essential
  • 3+ UAE years of experience
  • Fluent Arabic would be an advantage but not essential
  • Understand UAE Visa/Quota regulations
  • Experience in setting up corporate bank accounts
  • Experience cancelling trade licenses and winding down companies
  • This role would someone who works for a Corporate Services Provider or a law firm who has a department that offers this service to their clients
  • Must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
  • Must currently reside in the UAE
