Consultant Ophthalmology

Job Title: Consultant Ophthalmology

Education and Licensure:

• Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized medical school.
• Postgraduate degree/Fellowship Certification t.c. Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board or Canadian or its equivalent internationally recognized high medical qualifications.
• Current valid medical license as consultant in Ophthalmology or its equivalent to practice his specialty by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties.
• Current valid certification of Basic Life Support or obtaining that within 6 months of commencement of employment.

Professional Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the practice of his/her specialty after obtaining his high medical degree.

Specialized Knowledge & skills:

• Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in Arabic would be of advantage.
• Good general health, able to work extended hours under stress, isolation and at high altitudes, mobility, near visual acuity and no uncorrected audiological problems.
• Teaching: To demonstrate skills required for educational training to medical students, professions.
• Research: To demonstrate a proven ability and track record of engagement in research relating to the specialty.
