Leading Facilitator

1. Purpose of the Position:

Liaising with Skills building Specialist and the Technical Master Facilitator, the Leading Facilitator is responsible to deliver capacity-building trainings and conduct Field Visits ensuring a proper process is followed.

2. Responsibilities

Liaising with the Skills Building Specialist and the Technical Master Facilitator, the Leading Facilitator is responsible of:

  • Training Delivery: The Leading facilitator will support the Technical Master Facilitators in delivering capacity-building training targeting new or existing facilitators and improving their knowledge and skills on different topics, including but not limited to life-transferrablele skills related to children and adolescents’ development and protection.
  • Mentoring Facilitators: The Leading Facilitator is responsible to mentor and supports the trained facilitators through different tools and techniques to improve their performance.
  • Quality Assurance: The Leading Facilitator will support the Technical Master Facilitators in conducting quality assurance field visits and preparing the needed reports.
  • Knowledge sharing: The facilitator's support in preparing the report after conducting Facilitator Development Workshop, Refresher training, and field visit on their activities, challenges, progress, and learning points.

3. Deliverables

  • Training Delivery: Conducting skills-building trainings host community and camps
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting quality assurance FVs
  • Knowledge sharing: Preparing needed reports after conducting Facilitator Development Workshops, Refresher training, and field visits on their activities, challenges, progress, and learning points.

5. Education, Qualifications, Competences, Skills Required:

Essential:

  • University bachelor’s degree essential, in a relevant discipline.
  • At least five years professional experience in a related position/positions
  • Experience in training and facilitation
  • Experience in mentoring others
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural team
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and work under pressure
  • Ability to reflect, learn, and improve, and experience in using feedback processes for learning
  • Excellent computer skills (documents/spreadsheets/databases/presentations/calendars/email)
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic
  • Evidence of their technical expertise and capabilities in delivering trainings for capacity building
  • Evidence of developing training content, design training delivery, providing input in module development.
  • Previous experience of ToT specially designed for children, youth, and adolescent capacity building.

Preferred:

  • Masters’ Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in international development, especially community development and behaviour change programming is useful but not essential
