Project Manager

Position Title: Project Manager (IT Field)

Position Purpose:

Responsible for planning and overseeing projects within an organization, from the initial ideation through to completion. They coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver the project on budget.
  • Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
  • Managing the delivery of the project according to this plan.
  • Tracking projects and providing regular reports on project status to the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and/or budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction
  • Reviews business cases for each proposed technology project, including the detailed scoping, solution analysis, cost-benefit analysis and return on investment, ensuring they align to best practice, and are cognisant of potential regional synergies
  • Oversees identifying technology gaps, and proposes and implements the required changes to cover potential risks.
  • Define project delivery strategies, and deploy a range of tools to deliver projects – Agile, Waterfall, etc
  • Create and own project plans to support on-time and in-budget delivery of in-scope IT projects
  • Estimating timelines, measuring risk, and devising mitigation strategies

To land this, you should have

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent

· Certificates PMP are required

Experience: 6+ years of related business experience.

Communication:

  • Ability to respect differences of opinion and cultures.
  • Ability to identify and explain policies and procedures for his/her subordinates and colleagues.
  • Ability to use different communication ways efficiently.

Skills:

  • Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills are also essential.
  • Analytical skills are necessary in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project.
  • Strong business writing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of personnel (internal & external).
  • Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, persuasion, motivation, and confidence).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and be a self-starter
  • Ability to use a range of PM tools – Project, Jira, Dev Ops etc
  • Strong technology background, with an excellent understanding of current technology trends

Language: Fluent in English is a must

Other: Willing to Travel 80% and 20% onsite
