Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check and maintain main RO water treatment plant of hospital building daily.
• Ensure that necessary and adequate chemicals and spare parts are available for immediate use.
• Chemical to be as per the applicable quantity and proposition according to AAMI standard.
• Convey any mechanical / technical problems to the Engineering departments and correct the defect if possible. Otherwise contact the concerned company in case he can't rectify the defect, after getting permission from FMS Director.
• Provide continuous supply of treated water of good quality to all patient care unit and record data: PH reading and quantity of consumption day wise.
• Any planed preventive maintenance, repair or shut down of water supply system should be reported to the maintenance supervisor and the FMS Director in advance to take permission from the CEO and to information the concerned department / section.
• Keep a record of the results of water analysis every month and take immediate action increase water test result is found unsafe.
• Maintain adequate inventory of all equipment's, tools and chemicals available in his custody. Advance stocks of necessary chemicals should be kept in custody for six month period.
• Organize storage area so as to facilitate control of inventory usage.
• Co-operate with FMS Director and extend his expertise in completing the plumbing works of Hospital and its other building.
• Maintains and organize files catalogues and instruction manuals for Equipment used within the RO.
• Acquires Knowledge and information of infection control policies and procedures.
• Acquire knowledge and latest information about the reverse osmosis system techniques and developments.
• Perform other duties plumber as and when necessary.
• Disinfection of RO unit, loop connection in weekly basis.

Qualifications :

• A two-year diploma in a plumbing system technology or its equipment.
• Knowledge in the operation of reverse osmosis system plant as per AAMI standard.

Professional Experience :

• More than 4 years experience in plumbing technology and RO operation.

Specialized Skills :

• Competency in spoken English and Arabic.
• Should have knowledge in Plumbing works.
