“What You’ll Be Doing”

The high rise MEP Engineer is responsible for exercising technical expertise in the MEP construction and engineering field, within major high rise towers construction projects. He employs exceptional Electro-Mechanical knowledge and specialization in several fields in MEP, including but not limited to, MEP Utilities, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Communications, and Home Automation.

Supervising the work ensuring compliance with contract provisions Electrical & Mechanical works.
Verifying the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works.
Ensuring awareness of all aspects of construction activity in order to provide quality assurance and safety standards in line with contractual requirements.
Interpretation and application of Contract specification in respect of technical matters.
Analysing Contractors material submissions (Electromechanical) and approval.
Analysing of Contractors technical proposals and their approval.
Reviewing and approving of shop drawings submitted by the Contractor.
Inspecting temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contracts Documents and approved shop drawings and submissions.
Assisting with the inspection of completed work.
Monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of works.
Maintaining records of tests performed and work executed.
Leading the team in commissioning MEP works.
Provides project design civil engineering services such as preparation of project study reports, project reports, geometric approval drawings, plans, specifications and estimates.

“What Required Skills You’ll Bring”

B.Sc in Mechanicanl/Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or 5 to 7 years of directly related experience) and a minimum of 10 additional years of related work experience. Typically, incumbents have an advanced degree and 12 years or more of related experience. Computer proficiency. Typically requires a professional registration.
Good verbal and written communications in English.
Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
Sound knowledge in mechanical Specifications, codes, and standards
Experience in high rise buildings, residences, offices, mixed use complexes.
