Job Title: Cardiologist (SRF#128)
This position is under the Consultancy Agreement
Location: Azraq Camp
Job Duties
- To treat referred patients (with cardiac conditions) by reviewing and understanding their medical backgrounds and examining them to assess their current condition and health.
- look at and employ ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating a range of heart-related conditions.
- Request, perform, interpret and analyze Lab tests (rationally) to diagnose patients' condition. Perform patient physical examination. Analyze test data or images to inform diagnosis or treatment.
- carry out tests such as echocardiograms and interpret test results to measure how effectively the heart is working, which will help you to decide on the best method of treatment
- prescribe medication to patients to help treat a range of cardiac illnesses
- Prioritize patients in need for referral for emergency cardiac angiography.
- provide ongoing support and advice to patients under long-term care
- work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating and liaising closely with colleagues including referral doctor and ER doctors
- provide support and advice to colleagues working in other specialties
- accurately recording patient interventions and referrals.
- Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow.
- Ensure a rational prescription of medicines from the essential drug list of the camp or provide a medical rational for an exceptional treatment.
- Ensure the quality, disinfection and sterilization of the medical material under his/her responsibility and assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards;
- When requested, perform training of the medical/paramedical team in order to optimize the quality of care;
- Respect and follow the health standard operating procedures (reporting diseases with outbreak nature, HIS reporting, referral procedures, etc.). Ensures professional confidentiality is respected;

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree Medicine specialization in Cardiology
- License to practice in Jordan,
- Board of Cardiology (conventional or interventional), or Cardiology board eligible.
