Job Description
JOB TITLE: Senior System Engineer (UGV)
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead the system engineering process and monitor with the senior engineers the design and integration of system components as per the system design in order to ensure that the system is developed as per the requirements of stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Conduct meetings with concerned stakeholders to review the customer requirements and/or interpret RFQ/RFI/RFP to gather the technical requirements of the requested services.
Develop technical reports and documentation as required
Provide inputs for the development of technical proposal including scope, design approach, estimate budget, resources and identify potential risks.
Finalize with the technical manager project plans including phases, key activities, milestones, work schedule, work orders and work flows.
Monitor the pre-modification/ integration inspections of system components/sub-systems to analyze reparability of existing system components/sub-systems and/or recommend new modified components/sub-systems and/or design new system
Based on the outcome of pre-modification/integration inspection, Senior System Engineer will be accountable for the following:
Finalize the with the technical manager modified project plans including phases, key activities, milestones; work schedule, work orders and work flows.
Provide inputs for the selection of components based on the system design and depending on the compliance with requirements.
Monitor that the modification/integration process to assemble and integrate systems, system components/sub-systems is as per the the product design requirements and specifications along with global standards.
Conduct design reviews throughout the development lifecycle with the team to ensure completeness from a requirement standpoint. Identify key risks and recommend risk mitigation measures.
Review the documentation of the system design including and not limited to assembly drawings, schematics and 3D modelling etc.
Lead the planning and implementation with the technical manager of system automation as required for better system efficiency
Approve with the technical manager and execute with the senior engineers the overall process of testing of system prototype inclu; review the test analysis, recommendations and decide appropriate actions to change the design, if required.
Monitor on-going inspection to ensure the final products are assembled and integrated as per the key aspects of system design
Review post integration and final inspection reports.
Adhere to HSE (health, safety and environment) and environmental procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in system engineering or equivalent.
7 years of experience in system engineering in public/private sector organization
Preferred Qualifications
Master degree in system engineering or equivalent.
Experience of system engineering in unmanned systems in public/private sector defense engineering organization.
