Data and Reporting Specialist

Job Description & Role:
The BI and Reporting Specialist will support strategic program delivery. The BI and Reporting Specialist is an accomplished business analyst, proactive customer-focused advocate, a team player with Business Intelligence and reporting experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide Business Intelligence and strategic planning subject matter expertise on projects performance data and KPIs.
Collects and updates program performance data, prepares and analyzes historical and predictive measures, and reviews results and recommendations with program manager and program leads.
Develop plans for optimizing the BI platforms by determining how best to use existing data analytics, architecture, and technology, and where to make improvements.
Clearly and professionally communicate with client and management in gathering requirements and identifying impediments.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to PMO staff on best practices in Business Intelligence.
Help up skill the PMO members who have an interest in developing their capabilities in BI and data analytics.
Participate in technical and business reviews.
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or any related field
Five (5) years of relevant experience
Very good knowledge of MS Office and BI tools
Project management training
Certification in related data technologies or tools is desirable
Excellent oral and written communication capabilities and techniques (working side-by-side with government counterparts)
Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
Familiarity with BI architecture concepts and tools, including data architecture, data modeling, ETL tools, and reporting platforms.
Experience with data and reports migration from EPM
Experience managing front-end BI tools and building reports and dashboards
Strong knowledge of BI platforms (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, Qlik, D3, etc.) and demonstrated ability to implement business intelligence
Strong conceptual knowledge of project management and PMO dashboards
Excellent Command of English & Arabic
