Job Description and Qualifications

Company:

Jazan Integrated Gas and Power Company (JIGPC) is purchasing an over $11 billion Gasification/Power located at Jazan Economic City (JEC) in Saudi Arabia.

JIGPC will purchase, commission and operate the gasification assets, power block and the associated utilities from Saudi Aramco. These assets are currently under construction and will be transferred to JIGPC upon successful completion, currently scheduled for the end of 2021.

Summary:

The candidate shall form part of the dynamic electrical engineering team and shall be an intricate part of improving the stability, reliability and sustainability of the Jazan IGCC complex by being involved in trouble shooting, remediation and analysis of electrical system failures.

Work Experience: >10 years’ experience in electrical engineering

Education:

B. Eng/B Sc (Eng) in Electrical Engineering.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge and mastery of petrochemical and industry design specifications, standards, legislation, and international best practices.

• Understanding of other engineering disciplines’ processes and how to integrate with other disciplines’ interfaces.

• Strong knowledge in power plant electrical equipment commissioning and maintenance

• Strong in SAP/ SCADA and operation program for digital relays.

• LV & MV Design Engineering background – Distribution board design, electrical panel & system design, switchgear, and auxiliary system design.

• Knowledge of design, design review and commissioning in the electrical

engineering field.

• Demonstrated knowledge & experience in analysing detailed power system engineering studies including short circuit, load flow, transient motor start, protection relay coordination, arc flash, etc., and establish appropriate protective device settings

Skills:

• Electrical systems trouble shooting including protection, power generation, distribution, switchgear, UPS, BTU, motors (MV&LV), Heaters, Heat tracing, etc.

• Strong in SAP/ SCADA and operation program for digital relays.

• Conceptual problem identification and solution development.

• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

• Electrical protection system testing including primary injection, secondary injection, CT analysing, VT analysing, PT testing, cable testing etc.

Abilities:

• Mentoring of junior resources in electrical engineering and conducting performance reviews in the team.

• Ability to manage the work per work quality standard and procedures.
