1.
Job Purpose:
The role purpose of this position is mainly assigned to big projects of complicated nature in order to supervise, co-ordinate and follow up all activities related to project control including planning & cost control.
2.
Principal Accountabilities:
Supervise co-ordinate and follow-up the provision of planning, monitoring and cost control services to Project Managers.
Set-up the Project Control strategy in consultation with, PM and supervise and participate in the preparation and production of the Project Planning deliverables.
Ensure proper measurement of actual project progress, using the Document/Production Control System for all project segments, and the timely and accurate reporting of project status from the respective project areas.
Ensure proper project network scheduling to reflect the latest project status logic agreed by all parties and the correct project analysis in terms of schedule, logic, duration, progress resource, cost, efficiency and float.
Manage, direct & control all project control requirements (material, planning & cost control).
Ensure proper issuance of man-hour requirements and effective manpower deployment for activity-specific segments. Highlight excesses or shortages and makes recommendations for remedial action.
Coordinate with offshore operation in the preparation of detailed Marine Schedules for all Barges & Vessels of committed and potential projects.
Ensure that PM is provided with necessary tools to control all levels of project activity.
Review project budget and cost control reports prepared by cost control engineer.
Identify areas for concern and brings to notice of concerned parties with recommendations for corrective action.
Establish the project action plan / WBS with PMT including project planning, progress monitoring, project budgeting and cost control.
Ensure the dynamic link among all members contributing to project control.
Motivate, develop and train the subordinates assigned to the project control team.
Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.

Operating Environment:
This role-plays an important part in Mega projects in the areas of planning and cost control function.
4.
Communications and working Relationships:
Key interfaces are with Planning & Cost Control Manager, project managers and section / department heads
5.
Framework, Boundaries, Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:
The jobholder operates within the scope of well-defined policies and procedures and in accordance with company standard practices. Direct and manage planning and cost control functions for smooth operation of the project to meet management and client's satisfaction.
6.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Engineering Degree.
15 years experience across a breadth of projects and engineering disciplines at both office and site locations.
Excellent supervisory skills.
Good knowledge of cost control and accounting systems and terminology.
High-level planning/organizing and administrative skills.
High level IT skills.
High standard of written and spoken English.
Excellent communication and presentational skills.
