People and Culture (HR) Intern

Position: HR Intern (People and Culture Intern)
The objectives of the internship are to hire an entry level HR professional to assist the People and Culture department in handling the administrative and P&C support work, while building the technical capacity of the intern to start the P&C (HR) career path with a solid experience from WVSR. Objectives of the Internship:
– Archiving staff related documents to their specific folders (hard and soft copies).
– Assisting in management of the staff attendance recording.
– Support the P&C Officer in management of Cash for Work contracts for the CPiE, ECED, MoFA, and BvL projects.
– Support the P&C Officer in the recruitment and contract administration for freelancers working in various departments.
– Printing staff ID Cards for the new staff and casual workers when needed.
– Assist P&C officer with staff insurance inquiries and issues.
– Assist P&C officer in updating staff lists, and ensure WVSR P&C portal is updated.
– Any other tasks from the P&C Officer, P&C Team Lead, and P&C Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
·Reporting directly to the P&C Officer.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Management information systems or other relevant discipline is required.
- Computer skills, in particular email, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Working knowledge of SPSS an added advantage.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Excellent report writing skills in English.
- Detailed oriented and able to verify data quality.
- Communicates with integrity to different stakeholders (strong interpersonal skills).
