Position: Local Purchasing Agent
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering.
Experience: 1-2 Years.
Language: Kurdish, Arabic & English.
Location: Chamchamal, Sulaymaniyah.
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Sat-Thu).
Duties and Responsibilities:
– The focal point to receive Purchase Requests (PR), Coordinates and facilitates the procurement requirements, following all company policies and conditions.
– Carry out procurement function professionally and ethically, ensuring that all Materials Requests and deadlines are met in line with defined work scopes and timelines.
– Ensure all procurement activities comply with the company’s Code of Business Conduct.
– Local Vendor development and conducting due diligence to identify potential local sources of supply.
– Provide support and technical assistance to other Procurement team members, especially the warehouse team.
– Liaison with Inventory Control / Warehouse to resolve any Supplier issues, such as OSDRs (Overages/Shortages and Damage Reports).
– Liaises with government authorities and Transportation companies and provides logistical support in coordinating deliveries of Company supplies and in obtaining customs clearance for imported goods.
– Local daily purchasing, including the full responsibility of Logistics work under the approval of the Procurement Manager.
– Managing the logistics of all procured materials from suppliers/manufacturer’s site to plant(s) warehouse(s) or vice versa; the source of the purchased materials could be the local market or any foreign country.
– Selecting the forwarders and logistics companies as per company criteria.
– Responsible for all customs clearance and paperwork in all purchased material (land borders, ports, and airports)
– Follow up and report the different stages of transportation.
– Follow up and coordinate with the Factory warehouse for the receiving process.
– Creates and maintains weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required.
