Generations For Peace (GFP) is a leading global peacebuilding organization founded in 2007 and headquartered in Amman, Jordan, with a network of 20,000+ volunteers and presence in 51 countries around the world, including the United States. Generations For Peace Inc. is GFP’s US entity (GFP USA), registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit since 2012. GFP USA advances GFP’s mission in the United States through programming, thought leadership and fundraising efforts engaging American audiences. We have been steadily growing in the USA since 2019, when we opened our first US offices and began programs in Chicago.
GFP USA is currently a small team with ambitious plans for growth and impact in the coming year. We provide a unique opportunity to be part of both a start-up environment in the USA and a well-resourced and respected international NGO with a global track record. We are looking for talented and passionate people to join us in writing the next chapter in GFP USA’s story. We believe a more just and peaceful world is possible now and for future generations, and we desire to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and justice through all of our work, including our approaches to fundraising.
The Senior Development Officer is a newly created position to advance fundraising within GFP USA, with opportunities for leadership and innovation. The Senior Officer will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward GFP donors in the USA through a variety of traditional and innovative approaches, both real-world and online, such as appeals, campaigns, events, grants, annual funds, major gifts, corporate giving, and board and ambassador engagement, among others. Although the Senior Development Officer will be responsible for engaging a range of donors in the USA, a special emphasis will be placed on increasing and diversifying GFP’s unrestricted support from individuals, foundations and corporations through an annual fund, major gift program and foundation and corporate giving.
