Project Engineer
Job Description
Project engineer to provide pre and post-cost control related to Civil / MEP for Interior fit-out big format retail stores.
Job Description
- Preparation of Tender Documents, BOQs, Estimates and Budgets.
- Preparation of PR, RFQ & PO in ERP System.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and site measurements.
- Preparation of monthly cost and value reports.
- Project cost monitoring and control.
- Review the scope of works along with contract terms and conditions.
- Prepares Bill of materials / quantity take off / variations if any.
- Ensures timely and accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for project.
- Thoroughly study shop drawings and as built for final project account statement and final bill of quantities.
- Sourcing, negotiating, finalizing & approving the contractors along with Senior Project manager / Project manager.
- Co-ordinate with the responsible supervisory personnel for the projects contractors and finalize Payment Certificates of contractors.
- Track, Analyse & Report on capital expenditure.
- Prepare necessary documents required for invoicing, variations and claims on regular basis.
- Helping Project team for material pricing and rate analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects .
Skills/Experience
- Front end experience with contactor site/ fit out companies .
- Overall experience in field of MEP/CIVIL sites from large EPC.
- Must have worked in large retail / commercial projects with exposure to complete life cycle.
- Hands-on experience in preparation of BOQ/scope of deriving.
- Quantities from drawing/ proposals.
- Rate Analysis.
- Pre-and Post-tender experience.
- Develop and maintain vendor database with item ,contractor and prepare suppliers evaluation list.
- Working knowledge in standard methods of measurements such as NRM, POMI, CESMM
- Experience in computerized measurement software such as CostX would be preferred
- Previous 5-year experience working in the Middle East (preferably from Consultancy / Contracting )
- Working toward MRICS or accreditation equivalent would be preferred but not essential
Education
- BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering or BSc in Quantity Surveying
- Degree in related Engineering courses (Civil /Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or BSc Quantity Surveying)
