Position Summary:
- Develop & deploy category strategy by delivering growth in the country reflecting consumer, shopper, channel & customer dynamics to win in market place.
- A day in life
- Lead the generation of shopper understanding and interpret relevant sources of information and translate them into actionable insight relevant to category, brand, channel and customer. Monitor and report shopper trends, implications and opportunities, leveraging supplier, customer and Nestl network and tools to guide internal and external customers to future growth opportunities shopper.
- Analyze and provide recommendations/action plans for country retail audit reports (Market share, distribution, etc.) where applicable and analyze and action key customers sell-out data regularly to win in trade
- Recommend & executes optimized Pack Price architecture (right pack at the right price in the right channel & ensuring profit expectations of both Nestl & customer are satisfied) through fully understanding consumer, shopper & customer needs across prioritized channels distribution
- To optimize consumer/customer budget strategy and allocation, review annual budgets and investment and accountable for tracking and maintaining category spending in the country.
- Define growth opportunities and main drivers for the category & track the execution of plans, identifying eventual gaps, proposing actions to close the gaps and achieved the target (MBPC)
- Partner with marketing, sales & finance to optimize promotion plans based on systematic promotional evaluation, challenge effectiveness, funding & mechanics, consistently applying Keep/Modify/Drop mindset, balancing trade investment with customer tactics and needs, to improve return on investment
- Define & Review the picture of success for the category in each prioritized channel and enable its implementation, and optimization. Efficiently drive availability & visibility in physical and digital stores through perfect execution of POS and updating Planograms
- Lead the commercial planning process (ICP) to ensure timely cross-functional input and alignment to the key Category, Brand, Channel, Shopper and Customer growth opportunities and activation platforms ICP
- Understand the channel dynamics and prioritize them based on shopper centric insights and missions (relevant physical & digital store formats) and have the right SKU assortment.
- Lead the e-commerce channel activities in the country & work closely with e-commerce team &BU in applying the category strategy in this channel
- Develop channel solutions and contribute to build commercially aligned business cases and key initiatives that address the opportunity for future channel growth leveraging our categories strategies. Bring actionable insights which will inspire customers to implement aligned category strategy and initiatives
- Lead and develop CDT and ensure they receive regular feedback sessions and proper coaching to develop them for their next role. The CDT performance to be based on set of KPIs and aligned with BU and Country Manager
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance on all activities undertaken, including those taking place in the trade, to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and NESTL country codes. Comply with the NESTLs strictest requirements that Nestle marketing and sales personnel will not seek contact with, or give advice to pregnant women, or mothers of infants and young children regarding Infant Formula in their business capacity
What will make you successful..
3+ commercial experience, previous experience in trade marketing , Sales , Shopper management or marketing. Demonstratable record of success & performance. Understand key business functions and selling process.
University degree in relevant field
