MARINE UPHOLSTERER
Job Description
Duties include patterning seat cover patterns, cutting leather from patterns and sewing boat/boat seat covers and other items include fitting foam cushions prior to making seat covers and upholstery related parts.
Assemble tacks and fine tune marine seat components
Sews a variety of fabrics including vinyl and clear vinyl from patterns or dimensions
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve sewing/upholstery issues.
Discuss assembly line complications or slowdowns with supervisors and discuss solutions to increase productivity Ability to stitch and create new patterns.
Ability to change tasks whenever assistance is needed in the absence of other team members.
Install the foam padding on the seat pads
Wrap foam cushioning with sewn vinyl covers
Align the seams and seating elements
Ensure products meet quality standards
Includes seamstress, sewers, etc.
You may request overtime, night and weekend work as part of the job requirements.
Should be ready to work with multiple domains as per job requirements
