Nature and Scope
The position is Site based at our prestigious project in Saudi Arabia at our Air Products NEOM GHE Project site and work with the Site Team for all the Commercial/Quantity Surveying activities of the project.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountable for the activities of any directly reporting quantity surveying staff, including mentoring junior members of the team, and provide advice and guidance to other members of the team and report to Project Controls Manager/ Project Director, as required
Contribute to the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting & Progress measurement system, ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked with budget/tender allowances, commitments and deviations highlighted and managed
Produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value
Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget
Ensure that necessary interface information between customer, subcontractors and other departments is provided in a timely manner
Ensure contract variations and compensation events are identified, valued and turned into agreed
variation orders and compensation events with the customer in a timely manner
Assist in ensuring effective records are maintained to support claims and that applications for payment for variations are issued in a timely manner.
Ensure that each sub-contractor’s account is managed strictly in accordance with their terms and

Provide accurate monthly reporting of cost and value on the project in line with the Company’s
reporting process.
Be responsible for the preparation and agreement of final accounts
Agree and resolves final accounts with sub-contractors
المهارات
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of Contract
- Verified site experience working on EPC projects in the Middle East, working for an international EPC contractor.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes
- Significant knowledge of construction techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of sub-contracting principles, together with the ability to draft and administer subcontracts
- Ability to implement procedures to quantify and cost construction works, including the use of appropriate standard methods of measurement
- Understanding of the requirements to provide and obtain Insurance, Bonds and Warranties
- Proficiency in administration, writing, numeracy, IT and MS Office
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Professionally qualified Quantity Surveyor specialised in CMEI – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation works with minimum of 15+ Years’ experience in execution of a specified project or range of projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industry would be preferred.
- Site role based in Saudi Arabia.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills which will enable a quantity surveyor to write detailed and concise reports and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and others.
- Good computer skills (proficiency in MS Office & Excel).
- Knowledge of Arabic Language is preferred (but not mandatory)
- Any Quantity Surveyor Certification is preferred (but not mandatory)
- Past Work experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred (but not mandatory)
