Job Purpose:

To provide Design/Drafting services to all SABIC Affiliates, MEGA projects and Site projects in compliance to company guidelines/procedures and SABIC Engineering Standards (SES) by preparing details design packages for projects/non project (MOC) services as per agreed schedule and man-hour estimates, ensuring that Design/Drafting services are delivered reliably, on time, while maintaining the highest level of quality & Safety standards and professionalism. The position holder shall participate on Audits regarding drafting standard in SES and projects as-built review.

Responsibilities & Duty

Designer shall be able to develop Engineering Design Drawings with Bill of Materials for Projects and Non project (MOC) services from Conceptual sketches and Basic Engineering Scopes, to ensure design packages are delivered as per SABIC Engineering Standard (SES), Company Procedures and Safety Regulations.
Designer shall be able to provide alternative designs as required to accomplish work in the most efficient manner that comply with SABIC Engineering Standards.
Designer shall be able to submit packages for engineers review as part of project/Non Project (MOC) services review cycle ensuring customer interface for the delivery and quality of services. This is required to maintain engineering quality control.
Designer shall be able to perform Comprehensive critical review of design packages done by third party to ensure the Design packages are in compliance with procedure and SES standards.
Designer shall be able to perform comprehensive critical review of drawings done by fellow CAD Operators.
Designer shall be able to review and prepare "As-Built" drawings including impacted existing drawings as per actual in site condition.
Designer shall be able to coordinate and work in team discipline engineers, EDMS specialist, CAD operator and stakeholders in order to develop design packages, drawings and sketches for all new projects and modifications. This is required as engagement and team building across organization.
Designer shall be able to ensure accuracy & completeness of generated drawings.
Designer shall conduct site verification.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Engineering Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural for entry level.
Diploma with 2 years minimum experience.

Desired Experience & Skills

Excellent knowledge in international Standards and CAD Software such as (SP engineering tools , CAD, microstation …etc)
Excellent knowledge in MS Office.
Excellent Communication, Interpersonal & Coordination Skills.
Analyzing site condition for proposed design.
Able to sketch site condition, modification and taking accurate measurements with proper measurement tools. Able to make engineering load and sizing calculation and material selection is a plus.
Shall be familiar with industrial equipment.
Knowledge of Local Engineering Standards.
Knowledge of International Codes & Standards.
Has good timing management skill
