The scope of the electrical engineer is listed but not limited with the followings;

Design Period

• Providing input for the preparation of detailed designs, specifications, analysis, and recommendations for development of the design.
• Responsible for being a member of a design management team, completing tasks individually or with the support of the team
• Review, comment, and process the plant design and system submittals. Review project specifications. Generate and coordinate RFIs.
• Participate and coordinate value engineering functions.
• Review the basic design and detailed electrical design of the plant including all electrical design scopes such as power distribution, single lines, transformer sizing, cable&conduit sizing, earthing, lightening, electrical layout design, switchgears, instrumentation & control philosophy of the plant, PLC and DCS systems.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
• Coordinate the electrical design with architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical designs.
• Attend project design team meetings
• Coordinate, review and provide input for the equipment purchases in the area of electrical works.

Construction/Installation/Commissioning Period

• Site construction/EPC experience on industrial plants
• Providing input for the creation of test plans and procedures and for performing the tests related to start up/commissioning.
• Coordinate work with the project specifications for site installation/commissioning.

Operation Period

• Collaborates with plant Safety, Environmental, Quality, and manufacturing personnel to ensure that the processing plant meets all Safety, Environmental, Quality and Engineering standards.
• Lead a team of power electronics engineers/technicians to successfully achieve project goals during the operation period including electrical maintenance.
• Organize all required electrical maintenance activities (planned maintenance, prevention maintenance, emergency maintenance, etc.)
• Maintain the records of all maintenance activities including spare part management for electrical works.
