Job Description

A reputed MEP Company in Dubai has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Electrical to join the team immediately. The position of Manager, Electrical will report to the Management and will take a leading role in providing planning, leadership and technical expertise to the Electrical Department in management of complex and interdisciplinary projects.
Role and responsibilities
- Participate in tendering, negotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors including terms and conditions of the Purchase and Subcontract Agreement.
- Take appropriate action for the procurement of materials necessary for all the projects under execution.
- Assign duties to electrical staff and workers with allocation to the project site.
- Plan all human resources required for the projects.
- Obtain Progress Reports of all the projects from the project assigned staff and ensure all project deliverables/ close out documents are provided as per the project programs and arrange to complete the project in time, complying with the requirements of the Authorities and as per Subcontract.
- Follow up Payment Certificates and payment from the Main Contractors / Clients.
- Attend Meetings with the Main Contractors / Consultants / Clients on behalf of the Company.
- Prepare Budget Reports of all projects, prepare actual cost of materials and labour spent on each project.
- Prepare periodically Appraisal Reports of staff and workers, recommend promotion / increment of staff and workers based on the performance.
- Carry out all duties and responsibilities required of the position except any major contractual / financial commitments binding the Company without prior consultation and consent of the Managing Director.
- Attend Management Meetings as required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be able to demonstrate the following level of skills and experience:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in a Managerial position in an MEP Company in UAE or GCC 3. Ideally, shall be proficient in the use of ERP Software4. Able to produce technical reports in English in a clear and concise form.5. Able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients6. Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in Electrical Engineering with ability to co-ordinate Electrical works with that of HVAC and Plumbing disciplines7.Competent in using IT including Word, Excel, Power-point, emails and the Internet8.Good leadership and presentational skills
