Senior Desalination Engineer
Job Description

Ensure capacity and availability of the client's desalinated water requirements through system monitoring and efficient operation of the department's facilities.

Effectively assist the department manager in leading the department and the shift teams.

To ensure that the desalination plant is running in a safe and optimum condition with the goals of
minimizing cost, maximizing throughput and/or efficiency in the safest way possible.

To review and analysis the major plant equipment data and present a weekly and monthly report for the
status of the operation of major plant equipment.

Check and evaluate equipment operating data to ensure that the equipment is running and operated
according to manufacturer's recommendations or vendor manuals.

Create trends and graphics of major equipment' operating data.

Analyze trends.

Investigate and recommend solutions to any observed abnormalities.

Investigate equipment malfunctions, alarms and recommend solutions.

Create a record of equipment abnormalities and actions taken.

Monitor frequency of maintenance activities on every major equipment.

Create a quarterly report about equipment abnormalities, maintenance activities (corrective and preventive)
and performance.

Study and find ways to operate equipment at higher efficiency but less cost.

Check and evaluate physical condition of equipment and structures, and make necessary recommendations.

Identify and create all needed procedures such as normal operation and emergency procedures, and monitor
progress of creation.

Create chemical consumption trend and graphics.

Create quarterly chemical consumption report which will contain the amount of chemicals consumed,
comparison to design and previous year consumption, comments, recommendations, etc.

Cover the desalination manager during his absence and any other activities assigned by desalination
manager.

* Excellent planning, organizing and scheduling skills.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related course
