الوصف الوظيفي
The storekeeper is responsible for the maintenance of the warehouse as well as the showroom, performing activities such as stocking of operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, inspecting and receiving, and related duties as required.
The primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities that commonly make up the storekeeper job description are listed below:
- Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders/delivery notes from the suppliers.
- Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
- Issue materials based on authorized material requisition slips from the production and service departments.
- Ensure accuracy of the inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
- Manage inventory and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels; ensure the production operations or not stopped due to non-availability of a particular item; also ensure seasonal materials are available and no prospective customer is returned without a sale
- Inspect deliveries for any discrepancy or damage
- Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom
- Responsible for packing, pricing, labeling, and returning supplies
- Oversee the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs
- Create purchase requests for approval by the management
- Responsible for shipping canceled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate.
