The Core team of the Accelerator lab will have capabilities in: Mapping Solutions: ethnographic methods and immersion in community dynamics, identification of and work with lead users, and implications of bottom up solutions for the policy design The Policy Specialist, Inclusive Growth is based in the Regional Hub in Amman, Jordan, and is responsible for conducting research and analysis to provide policy and programme advisory, advocacy, relationship building, and knowledge to the thematic area of Inclusive Growth within the Bureau and UNDP as a whole. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will support countries across the region participating in the NDCSP/Climate Promise, while also helping to ensure NDCs are integrated into the regional strategy and priorities as a critical tool for bringing together UNDP’s programming across climate and sustainable development. He/she will be expected to guide the effective implementation of Climate Promise related activities in the Asia Pacific region, aligned with UNDP’s strategic priorities and in close coordination with teams responsible for implementing UNDP’s wider climate portfolio. This includes ensuring that countries’ requirements and donor’s expectations are adequately met in accordance with the approved global portfolio initiative and associated global, regional, and country workplans.
