Team Leader Engineering
Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance TeamLeader who will be responsible to maintain and operate all the plant, machinery and equipment within the hotel to achieve optimum guest and colleague comfort and safety, whilst maintaining costs to a minimum.
- Leading and delegating tasks to the maintenance team
- Supporting Director of Engineering with the day to day running of the department
- Repair of defects and the safe and efficient operation of the building, plant and equipment
- Maintaining and operating all the hotel plant
- Ensuring that any un-repaired fault likely to cause an accident is isolated and that such equipment is left in a complete safe condition with the appropriate warning notices attached
- Carrying out the designated procedures if a fire alarm is raised
- Assisting guest's during their stay
- Providing all required information about the Hotel, available services and facilities
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Holder of an official trade certificate or diploma in engineering, with minimum of 2 years work experience as engineer in hotel or in a similar large building/complex with central plant.
