JOB PURPOSE
To provide support and technical analysis in the areas of Nutrition Programme activities that effectively support WFP efforts to upscale nutrition with particularly focus on BISP NASHONUMA Programme Implementation, and other Nutrition initiatives under upcoming Country Strategic Plan. Ensure accurate and timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Within the Nutrition unit, prepare a range of reports and data analysis (e.g. nutritious food assistance needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) and highlight trends/issues ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control.
2. Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of Nutrition programme and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
3. Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the specific area of work supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
4. Provide specialized project management support to Nutrition programmes to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established targets following WFP’s policies and procedures.
5. Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
6. Coordinate and communicate with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions to perform accurate analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of Nutrition programmes.
7. Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government within the technical area of Nutrition Programming.
8. Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems within a specific technical area of responsibility.
9. Oversee and/or review the work of other support staff, providing practical advice and guidance, to contribute to delivering objectives to agreed standards and deadlines.
10. Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Good knowledge with experience in COMET, SCOPE, Information & Data management, Dash boards, Coordination with different actors and participation in thematic meetings. Analysis of report and compiled information from various sources and preparation of analytical reports. Excellent analysis and drafting skills are required.
• Act as a focal person from nutrition unit for the operational partnership management with Government and I/NGOs including review of proposals, budgets, technical capacity assessments, preparation of expression of interest/call for proposal to potential partners, support Country Office focal point for representation in Project Review Committee meetings for a final review of proposals in coordination with Partnership Unit for the implementation of Community Management of Acute Malnutrition Programme and Stunting Prevention Project.
• Coordinate for maintaining strong liaison with the cooperating partners to track programme progress and undertake periodic field visits to monitor project outputs.
• Act as focal person for funds management at Provincial Office for all nutrition grants, timely utilization of resources and financial reporting. Assist in developing and review the budgets for FLA and AWP’s. Prepare financial forecasts of expected resource gaps, allocation plans and coordination with partners for timely utilization of resources
• Coordination with Country Office Procurement and nutrition team for developing nutrition related stationery items and other NFIs to facilitate the process.
• Regularly follow up with respective Cooperating Partners for timely submission and processing of invoices through Finance unit for payments.
• Recording of partnerships and operational caseloads and geographical information for respective provinces of each agreement in the Corporate Monitoring and Evaluation Tool (COMET).
• Perform other related tasks as and when required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience, of which at least five to six years of experience in Nutrition-related database activities,
Has experience in the Nutrition emergency Programming, preferably experience of WFP BISP, CMAM and Stunting prevention programmes and database.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu languages in use at the duty station.

This job is based in the Provincial Office, Peshawar and the job holder will report to the Programme Policy Officer/ Nutritionist (NOC).
Job holder is likely to be working under the close support and guidance of a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed. S/he will be typically involved in Programme or policy activities and/or analytical work of limited complexity.
