Senior Engineer – Wet Utilities

A position has arisen for a Senior Wet Utilities Engineer within our Infrastructure team in Riyadh – Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will possess Middle East infrastructure experience (drainage, sewage, wet utilities and hydrology). In addition, some highways and earthworks experience and a broad interest in the urban environment and sustainable development would be preferable.

Your daily responsibilities are expected to comprise the following…

Working on the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, with technical inputs from numerous disciplines, including transport, energy, sustainability, and building engineers
Preparing designs, drawings, technical reports, specification, and schedules.
Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects, collaborate with other disciplines as well as having excellent communication and presentation skills
Design gravity and pressure networks for masterplan, transportation and highway projects
Design right of way cross sections for all utilities
Produce reports, drawings, calculations and presentations
Submit designs to local authorities and follow up to obtain approvals
Use AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, EPANET, Infoworks-ICM, Civil3D HecRAS and Microsoft office
Interface with the wider BH infrastructure and MEP teams, architects, masterplanners, stakeholder

Our ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate the following…

A person who demonstrates the experience of Masterplan engineering (Potable water, Sewerage, Storm water drainage, Firefighting and Irrigation), the formulation of options and holistic analysis as well as an awareness (and ideally experience) of applying the principles of sustainability to infrastructure engineering

You will be able to demonstrate a profile of:

A highly organised, creative, and conscientious individual, capable of managing multiple key stakeholder expectations
Excellent written, visualisation and verbal communication skills, and can easily simplify complex concepts into compelling narratives to both technical and non-technical audiences
A positive, resilient attitude with a willingness to undertake volume work processes
Proven ability to manage time and act with pace, demonstrating a highly organised approach to work, and customer service.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write complex reports and RFPs
Strong attention to details and technicalities

Good IT and mathematical skills
Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience in the Middle East is essential
Masters degree (MEng) in Engineering and or a relevant chartership will be advantageous
