Job Description
As part of the BRF Procurement team, support the Procurement Category Leader towards the negotiation of Logistic Categories in the GCC region. Defining short, medium and long term commercial logistic strategy for the region.
- Support the Procurement Category Leader defining commercial strategy towards warehouse rental, transportation– Urban distribution, refrigerated transference, International and container road, Port Terminals, Custom Brokers, Sea freight and outsourcing commercial strategy related to our distribution operations in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.
- Ensure supplying and performance for the region with the best cost compared to the market complying with the agreed Scope and SLA’s.
- Lead or take an active role in improvement projects such as:
- Managing Negotiations
- Increasing Payment terms
- Improving Alternative suppliers/sources
- Developing alternative solutions to bring cost efficiency and improve process.
- Get quotation / negotiate with suppliers / validate with Stakeholders / approve negotiation as per Policy / Create PO and contract / Follow up delivering / treat divergences
- Be the guardian of Procurement Policy in the region.
- Contract management
- Internal Stakeholder and Supplier Management
- Create and manage the following data for procurement: Targets, monthly KPI’s, Results Database, Budget forecast.
- Comply with BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines, ensure adherence to BRF Sustainability Plan through activities in its routines that promotes compliance with the indicators and global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments of the Company, ensuring the connection between its actions and sustainable development in the BRF chain.
Academic Background
- Economic / Engineer / Business Background
- Preferable Procurement Qualification (e.g. MCIPS)
Desirable requirements
- Fluent in English (Arabic, is preferable but not a must)
- Negotiation skills / familiar with budget, cost, finance mathematics
- Expertise in the tools of Strategic Sourcing and related concepts (TCO-Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Development, Market Research etc.)
- Experience in: ERP (SAP / ARIBA) – Procurement (MM) | Contract Management | MSOffice applications (Excel, PP etc.)
- Confidence, ability to make presentations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong understanding of processes, procedures and policies of contract reviews in FMCG
Experience
- 3 years experience in Procurement
- 1-3 years of experience to negotiate logistic categories
