The opportunity

Project: This is a mixed-use project in the heart of Egypt.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking candidate to join our established and growing team in Egypt.

Your responsibilities will include:

Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project involving existing protocols and systems.
Managing, estimating, and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including, pre-qualification, enquiry, evaluation, selection, and contract preparation are performed effectively.
Ensuring that post-contract cost variances, change control, cost checking, and valuation processes are managed effectively.
Ensuring the production of monthly cost reports and presenting them to the client.
Providing value engineering and life cycle costing.
Managing the final account negotiation and agreement.
Interfacing with clients, and external and internal consultants at all project stages.
Producing and maintaining accurate cost and cash forecasts in alignment with the cost breakdown structure.
Maintaining accuracy in all cost data for the programme within the financial control system (EcoSys), including monthly ACWP calculations.
Coordinating and producing cost reports to a defined reporting cycle.
Assisting in the trend and change process, including production of project change reports, analysis of cost impact, and provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
Reviewing, acceptance, and integration of cost estimates and forecasts provided by tier 1 contractors and suppliers.
Assisting with analysis of earned value.
Adhering to project governance and cost standards and procedures.

About you

You have a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, or another related field, you have an understanding of cost management methodologies and techniques, and you are a member of a professional body, such as RICS, CIOB. You have experience on a major construction project. You can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have proven relevant experience in project management or in a similar cost role in a construction or consultancy background.
