Kelly Engineering is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client's company that provides the highest quality vehicle interiors.
Technical Skills needed for the role
- QA / QM sector (qualifications comparable with the DGQ German Society for Quality or VDA Association of the German Automotive Industry).
- ISO/TS 16949 (QS 9000), VDA, FMEA, 8D-Methods, statistical methods, PPAP, APQP, TQM-Tool's (e.g. PDCA-Cycle QFD, Ishikawa)
- Experience with various Quality system methodologies: 8D, 3 Legs and 5 Why´s, LEAN manufacturing, Pareto analysis and statistical studies
- Experienced with OEM customer-specific requirements / standards
Main Roles and responsibilities
- Contact person in the project team concerning all QA demands from offer phase till release with grade 1 quality
- Planning concerning project management
- Supplier audits, process inspections at suppliers and definition of Q targets with suppliers
- Supplier agreements
- Create work and test instructions in project phase.
- Quality planning discussions with customers
- Processing complaints from customer and supplier side
- Handling of initial samples from suppliers to customers
- To make up tolerance samples
- Inspection planning (prototype, pilot production, series, laboratory)
- Procurement of original samples from customers
- Certification and capability studies
- Realization of intern process acceptance
- Support and qualification of suppliers
- Handling quality problems and finding the cause
- International Material Data System
- Test equipment planning (design, performance specifications, approvals)
- Support and qualification of subsidiaries related to serial projects
- Able to stop production when necessary
Education and Experience
- Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management or technician with equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA -automotive industry
- Certified in Automotive requirements (ISO 9001/ IATF 16949, VDA, etc.) preferred
- Certified in all AIAG/VDA Core Tools (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, APQP, SPC) preferred
