Job Title

Level 2 Engineer

Experience

5-7 Years

Job Function

1. Handle Level 2 tickets raised by L1 NOC Team

2. Respond to Customer / other department queries regarding incidents using calls, emails, messaging tools etc.

3. Perform troubleshooting on Cisco Routers and Switches,

4. Expert in Cisco Routing & Switching, DC and SP Routing domain

5. Update trouble tickets using customer Incident management system

6. Escalate and assign tickets to L3 teams as needed

7. Perform Escalation management using established NOC procedures and tools

8. Perform above tasks within established NOC SLAs

9. Produce and organize printed and electronic reports

10. Coordinate and maintain a log of request activities of help desk

11. Prioritize service request according to importance of emergency

12. Update customer status of problem resolution as per SLA

13. Work in a 24×7 duty roster as per shift schedule

14. Actively maintain vendor SLA and document it

15. Create change management documents, perform network upgrade as per approved change activities

16. Maintain and operations end customer network as per vendor best practices and end customer baseline configurations

17. Provide quality and performance reporting as per customer requirements

CCNP or CCIE Written

Qualification

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Telecom Engineering

Skills Knowledge

Product Specific Knowledge

Multi-Vendor Exposure

Carrier / ISP Experience

Cisco Routers & Switches, IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR

Cisco SP routing and switching portfolio: ASR9K, CRS, N7K, NCS5K, ACI Infrastructure

Expert in Routing Protocols, BGP, OSPF, ISIS,

Experience in MPLS, Segment Routing, L2/L3 VPNs,

Expert in troubleshooting SP Routing issues,
