Performing market research to identify new trends in industry sectors and developing marketing strategies based on these trends
Developing marketing plans and strategies to increase brand awareness and promote products
Conducting market research and gathering information about potential customers’ preferences, needs, and buying habits
Creating and managing marketing plans that include advertising campaigns, public relations initiatives, and other efforts to promote brands and products
Recommending changes to existing products or developing new products based on market trends and customer feedback
Coordinating with sales teams to promote new products or services to existing clients
Creating advertisements for print and online publications such as trade journals or social media sites

Brand specialists need the following skills in order to be successful:

Product knowledge: Brand specialists need to know the products they represent inside and out. They should be able to answer questions about the product’s features, benefits and uses. Brand specialists should also be familiar with the company’s mission and values so they can speak to them in their marketing materials.

Communication skills: Brand specialists communicate with many people throughout their workday. They often communicate with other marketing team members, clients and customers. They also communicate with the company’s designers to ensure the brand’s messaging is reflected in the company’s marketing materials. Brand specialists use email, phone calls, instant messaging and video conferencing to communicate with others.
