The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a
Senior
Analyst
to provide technical, analytical, and programmatic support to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) in the investment and monitoring of R&D funds. This position is onsite at a Government location(s) in the National Capital Region (and telecommuting where approved). The candidate demonstrates mature judgement required to interface with senior Government personnel and external stakeholders including other Government agencies, academia, and industry. The candidate also coordinates administrative functions and process improvement.
This position requires a candidate with experience leading and performing a variety of tasks to support Government leaders, providing:

Science, engineering, technical, management, and professional support

OUSD(R&E) research, analysis, and strategic planning support for OUSD(R&E) space, cyber, defensive and offensive weapons platforms, resilient communications, battle management/C3, and logistics

Developing graphical materials and documents, to include read aheads, briefings, action memoranda, emails, etc.

Performing records management

Recommending resolution to problem sets/challenges
Required Qualifications:

BS degree in a relevant technical discipline

7-9 years of related experience

Current top security clearance

Experience supporting US Government clients

Experience coordinating across multiple organizations

Background in OUSD(R&E) programs
Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Joint operations

Previous SETA experience

MS or MA degree in a relevant discipline
* Top Secret with TS/SCI eligibility clearance (or DCID 6/4 eligibility within the last five (5) years)
This position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in November 2022-February 2023 supporting a US Government customer.
