Associate – Interior Design

Job Summary
Our award winning Building Engineering team are expanding, and we're currently recruiting an Interior Design Associate, to be based in our Abu Dhabi Design studio. The successful candidate will review design consultant documentation for all design phases associated with architecture, interior architecture, interiors, as well as Furniture, Fit-out and Electricity (FF&E) and Signage.
Responsibilities:
- To prepare and develop with the team where required, creative content, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design
- To take responsibility for assigned project deliverables, development of the design with input from the Director in charge for key project stages
- To liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organisations or companies
- To seek continuing professional development thorough knowledge of and compliance with AECOM procedures and standards.
- Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
- Able to integrate design requirements with architecture
- Able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
- Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure
- Understanding of the designers role in the co-ordination and integration of project information and management
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 12 years post undergraduate experience
- Proven related professional experience in an Architectural or Interior Design Practice
- Experience of working on large scale projects including site experience
- Proficient in Revit / Autocad and Sketch-up
- Proficient in In-Design / PhotoShop and Powerpoint
- Proficient in Rhino
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors of Architecture or Bachelor of Interior Design
- International Accreditations (BIID, AIID or equivalent)
