Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To conduct detective/preventive control field review as assigned by Internal Control Manager for the following activities (Accounting & Documentation) if within scope
- Retail/Corporate finance transactions
- Treasury transactions
- Trade Finance transactions
- Branch activities
- Vouchers checking and handling reconciliation
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Review the activities as assigned by IC Manager through specifically designed reports on new accounts opened suspicious accounts, non- financial transactions in accounts opened, daily transactions over threshold limits and / or any other report (if within scope)
- Review and evaluate all suspicious transactions reports by Branches and Internal Department (if within scope)
- Review customer’s account opening documentation and related KYC (if within scope)
- Release incident reports to various divisions and ensure that recommended actions are carried out (if within scope)
- Carry out investigations as and when assigned by QAC Manager in response to any suspicious transaction and report the same to QAC Manager. (If within the scope)
- Interact with concerned business and front office units to get feedback on various customers and take all steps necessary to improved KYC processes. (if within scope)
- The incumbent should carry out any function as designated/assigned by Manager, Internal Control and should be able to carry out and cover the functions of other QAC staff members who are absent or on leave (if within scope)
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferable
Minimum Experience
- Five year’s relevant experience in Islamic Banking/ Finance Operations with emphasis on Islamic Finance Environment
