The opportunity
Payroll Operate Services (POS) form part of our GCR services. Our POS sub service line operates as a team of highly experienced professionals who focus on delivering efficient and effective resources relating to POS to companies in the region. Our goal is to improve quality, manage risk, create efficiency and drive value. Our market leading approach combines standard and efficient processes, highly effective tools and an extensive network of local tax and accounting professionals. Our clients benefit from an integrated, consistent, and flexible quality service to address Payroll processing needs.
As part of a MENA team, you will be responsible for building and growing the POS sub service line by pursuing, negotiating and contracting the potential clients who are our targets to provide POS in the region. You will also lead on contract management of large-scale projects where you will need to manage and coordinate the delivery of POS services by EY teams in the region.
Your key responsibilities
You will combine strong technical skills with practical commercial, legislative and industry knowledge to lead in developing Payroll Operate services. You will be responsible to develop a target list of clients, actively pursue, negotiate and secure engagement with them to achieve an ultimate important objective to grow the POS revenues and footprint in the region. You will establish, maintain and strengthen valued internal and external relationships and ensure that you connect with potential clients, discuss with the key stakeholders of client and effectively bring POS capabilities of EY to the client and secure business.
You will be responsible to generate new business opportunities, build client networks and to grow our POS client base in the region by driving marketing and business development initiatives.
You will lead and motivate other sub-service lines of tax to help in developing POS business in MENA. You will be responsible for pursuing profitable business i.e., which are in line with benchmark engagement economics, fees and estimates-to-complete. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines.
Skills and attributes for success
If you are an excellent communicator, negotiator, team player and detail oriented professional with a strong track record of business development experience who is comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people, you will be perfect for the role
To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation or any related essential fields.
  • MBA, Masters or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent qualification.
  • A very strong knowledge and experience of over 7 years in domestic and international tax rules/regulations, developments etc., ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment.
  • A very strong background in tax accounting and tax auditing, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment.
  • A strong track record of managerial, organizational and business development experience.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Experience of dealing with multinational clients and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
  • In-depth commercial, legislative and industry knowledge.
